About me

Hello, nice to meet you!

I’m Genalda, the creator and curator of this space where I share my passion for travelling. Travel was always in my DNA given my family background and living in different countries at an early age. I am Portuguese-Angolan and grew up in Portugal. I guess, being at the tip of Europe, I’ve always wanted to travel.

I remember at 6 years old being obsessed with my mum’s Atlas of the World – this massive book with all the countries. I would eagerly memorise the capitals and flags and look at random facts like population density. It blew my mind that some cities had double or triple the population of my entire country!

Fast forward to 18, I moved to London to study Multimedia and started meeting people from all over the world. After over a decade in the UK, I traded the rainy weather and skyscrapers for the Mediterranean vibes of Barcelona. Now I’m on a journey learning Catalan and Spanish, slowly getting to know the city like a local, but always hopping on a plane at every chance I get to keep discovering the world, one meaningful trip at a time.

what travel means to me

There’s something about experiencing new cultures that always captivated me. I enjoy the thrill of being in a new place observing the nuances of different ways of living.
